Psalms 112

1 He praiseth the felicitie of them, that fear God, 10 And condemneth the cursed state of the contemners of God.
¶ Praise ye the Lord.
1.aBlessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandments.
2.His seed shalbe mightie upon earth: the generation of the righteous shalbe blessed.
3.bRiches and treasures shalbe in his house, and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4.Unto the crighteous ariseth light in darkness: he is merciful and ful of compassion and righteous.
5.A good man is merciful and dlendeth, and wil measure his affairs by judgement.
6.Surely he shal never be moved: but the righteous shalbe had in everlasting remembrance.
7.He wil not be afraid of evil tidings: for his heart is fixed, and beleveth in the Lord.
8.His heart is stablished: therefore he wil not fear, until he se his desire upon his enemies.
9.He hathe edistributed and given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever: his fhorn shalbe exalted with glorie.
10.The wicked shal se it and be angry: he shal gnash with his teeth, and gconsume away: the desire of the wicked shal perish.

Notes

He means that reverent fear, which is in the children of God, which causes them to delight only in the word of God.
3-b.
The godly shall have abundance and contentment, because their heart is satisfied in God only.
4-c.
The faithful in all their adversities know that all shall go well with them: for God will be merciful and just.
5-d.
He shows what is the fruit of mercy: to lend freely and not for gain, and so to measure his doings, that he may be able to help where need requires, and not to bestow all on himself.
9-e.
The godly pinch not niggardly, but distribute liberally, as the necessity of the poor requires, and as his power is able.

His power and prosperous estate.
10-g.
The blessings of God upon his children shall cause the wicked to die for envy.
