1 Chronicles 9

1 All Iſraél and Iudáh nombred 10 Of the Prieſts, and Leuites, 11, 28 And of their offices
1.THus all Iſraél were nōbred by their genealogies: & beholde, thei are writen in the boke of the Kings of Iſraél and of Iudáh, and they were caryed away to Babél for their tranſgreſſion.
2.¶ And the chief inhabitants that dwelt in their owne poſſeſsions, and in their owne cities, euen Iſraél the Prieſts, the Leuites, and the Nethinims.
3.And in Ieruſalém dwelt of the children of Iudáh, & of the children of Beniamin, & of the children of Ephraim, & Manaſſéh.
4.Vthái ye ſonne of Amihúd ye ſone of Omri, the ſonne of Imrí, the ſonne of Baní: of the childrē of Phárez, the ſonne of Iudáh.
5.And of Shiloni, Aſaiah the eldeſt, and his ſonnes.
6.And of the ſonnes of Zérah, Ieuél, and their brethren ſix hundreth and ninetie.
7.And of the ſonnes of Beniamín, Sallú, the ſonne of Meſhullám, the ſonne of Hodauiáh, the ſonne of Haſenuáh,
8.And Ibneiáh the ſonne of Ierohám, and Eláh the ſonne of Vzzí, the ſonne of Michrí, & Meſhullám the ſonne of Shephatiáh, the ſonne of Reuél, the ſonne of Ibniáh.
9.And their brethren according to their generacions nine hundreth, fiftie and ſix: all theſe men were chief fathers in the houſholdes of their fathers.
10.¶ And of the Prieſts, Iedaiáh, and Iehoiaríb, and Iachín,
11.And Azariáh the ſonne of Hilkiáh, the ſonne of Meſhullám, the ſonne of Zadók, the ſonne of Meraióth, the ſonne of Ahitúb the chief of the houſe of God,
12.And Adaiáh the ſonne of Ierohám, the ſonne of Paſhhúr, the ſonne of Malchiiáh, and Maaſái the ſonne of Adiél, ye ſonne of Iahzérah, the ſonne of Meſhullám, ye ſonne of Meſhillemíth, the ſonne of Immér.
13.And their brethrẽ the chief of the houſholdes of their fathers a thouſand, ſeuen hundreth and thre ſcore valiãt men, for ye worke of the ſeruice of the houſe of God.
14.¶ And of the Leuites, Shemaiáh the ſonne of Haſſhub, the ſonne of Azrikám, the ſonne of Haſhabiáh of the ſõnes of Merarí,
15.And Bakbakkár, Héreſh and Galál, and Mattaniáh the ſonne of Michá, the ſonne of Zichrí, the ſonne of Aſáph,
16.And Obadiáh the ſonne of Shemaiáh, the ſonne of Galál, ye ſonne of Ieduthún, and Berechiáh, the ſonne of Aſá, the ſonne of Elkanáh, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17.¶ And the porters were Shallúm, and Akkúb, and Talmón, and Ahimán, and their brethren: Shallúm was the chief.
18.For they were porters to this time by companies of the children of Leuí vnto the Kings gate Eaſtwarde.
19.And Shallúm the ſonne of Kóre the ſonne of Ebiaſáph the ſonne of Kórah, & his brethren the Korathites (of the houſe of their father) were ouer the worke, and office to kepe the gates of the Tabernacle: ſo their families were ouer the hoſte of the Lord, keping the entrie.
20.And Phinehás the ſonne of Eleazár was their guide, and the Lord was with him.
21.Zechariáh the ſonne of Meſhelemiáh was the porter of the dore of the Tabernacle of the Congregacion.
22.All theſe were choſen for porters of the gates, two hundreth and twelue, which were nombred according to their genealogies by their townes. Dauid eſtabliſhed theſe and Samuél the Seer in their perpetual office.
23.So they and their children had the ouerſight of the gates of ye houſe of ye Lord, euẽ of the houſe of the Tabernacle by wardes.
24.The porters were in foure quarters Eaſtward, Weſtward, Northward and Southward.
25.And their brethren, which were in their townes, came at ſeuen dayes from time to time with them.
26.For theſe foure chief porters were in perpetual office, and were of the Leuites and had charge of the chambers, & of the treaſures in the houſe of God.
27.And they laye round about the houſe of God, becauſe the charge was theirs, & they cauſed it to be opened euerie morning.
28.And certeine of them had the rule of the miniſtring veſſels: for they broght them in by tale, and broght them out by tale.
29.Some of them alſo were appointed ouer the inſtruments, and ouer all the veſſels of the Sanctuarie, and of the floure, and the wine, and the oyle, and the incenſe, and the ſwete odours.
30.And certeine of the ſonnes of the Prieſts made ointments of ſwete odours.
31.And Mattithiáh one of the Leuites which was the eldeſt ſonne of Shallúm the Korhite, had the charge of the thĩgs that were made in the fryingpan.
32.And other of their brethren the ſonnes of Koháth had ye ouerſight of the ſhewbread to prepare it euerie Sabbath.
33.And theſe are the ſingers, the chief fathers of the Leuites, which dwelt in the chãbers, and had none other charge: for they had to do in that buſines day and night.
34.Theſe were the chief fathers of the Leuites according to their generacions, and the principal which dwelt at Ieruſalém.
35.And in Gibeón dwelt the father of Gibeón, Ieiél, and the name of his wife was Maacháh.
36.And his eldeſt ſonne was Abdón, then Zur, & Kiſh, & Báal, and Ner, & Nadáb,
37.And Gedór, and Ahió, and Zechariáh, and Miklóth.
38.And Miklóth begate Shimeám: they alſo dwelt with their brethren at Ieruſalém, euen by their brethren.
39.And Ner begate Kiſh, & Kiſh begate Saúl, and Saúl begate Ionathán and Malchiſhúa, and Abinadáb and Eſhbáal.
40.And the ſonne of Ionathán was Meribbáal: and Merib-báal begate Micáh.
41.And the ſonnes of Micáh were Píthon, & Mélech and Tahréa.
42.And Aház begate Iaráh, and Iaráh begate Alémeth, and Azmáueth & Zimrí, and Zimrí begate Mozá.
43.And Mozá begate Bineá, whoſe ſonne was Rephaiáh, and his ſonne was Eleaſáh, and his ſonne Azél.
44.And Azél had ſix ſonnes, whoſe names are theſe, Azrikám, Bocherú, & Iſmaél, & Sheariáh, and Obadiáh, and Hanán: theſe are the ſonnes of Azél.
