10 The genealogie of the ſonnes of Leui. 31 Their ordre in the miniſterie of the Tabernacle. 49 Aarón & his ſonnes Prieſts 54, 57 Their habitations.
1.THe ſonnes of Leuí were Gerſhón, Koháth, and Merarí.
2.And the ſonnes of Koháth, Amrám, Izhár, and Hebrón and Vzziél.
3.And the children of Amrám, Aarón, and Moſés and Miriám. And the ſonnes of Aarón, Nadáb, and Abihú, & Eleazár, and Ithamár.
4.Eleazár begate Phinehás, Phinehás begate Abiſhúa,
5.And Abiſhúa begate Bukkí, & Bukkí begate Vzzí,
6.And Vzzí begate Zerahiáh, and Zarahiáh begate Meraióth.
7.Meraióth begate Amariáh, and Amariáh begate Ahitúb,
8.And Ahitúb begate Zadók, and Zadók begate Ahimáaz,
9.And Ahimáaz begate Azariáh, and Azariáh begate Iohanán,
10.And Iohanán begate Azariáh, (it was he that was Prieſt in the houſe that Salomón buylt in Ieruſalé̄)
11.And Azariáh begate Amariáh, and Amariáh begate Ahitúb,
12.And Ahitúb begate Zadók, and Zadók begate Shallúm,
13.And Shallúm begate Hilkiáh, and Hilkiáh begate Azariáh,
14.And Azariáh begate Seraiáh, and Seraiáh begate Iehozadák,
15.And Iehozadák departed whē the Lord caried away into captiuitie Iudáh and Ieruſalém by the hand of Nebuchad-nezzár.
16.¶The ſonnes of Leuí were Gerſhóm, Koháth and Merarí.
17.And theſe be the names of the ſonnes of Gerſhóm, Libní, and Shimeí.
18.And the ſonnes of Koháth were Amrám, and Izhár, and Hebrón and Vzziél.
19.The ſonnes of Merarí, Mahlí and Muſhí: and theſe are the families of Leuí cōcerning their fathers.
20.Of Gerſhóm, Libní his ſonne, Iaháth his ſonne, Zimmáh his ſonne,
21.Ioáh his ſonne, Iddó his ſonne, Zérah his ſonne, Ieaterái his ſonne.
22.The ſonnes of Kohath, Aminadáb his ſonne, Kórah his ſonne, Aſſír his ſonne,
23.Elkanáh his ſonne, and Ebiaſáph his ſonne, and Aſſír his ſonne,
24.Taháth his ſonne, Vriél his ſonne, Vzziáh his ſonne, and Shaúl his ſonne,
25.And the ſonnes of Elkanáh, Amaſái, and Ahimóth.
26.Elkanáh. the ſonnes of Elkanáh, Zophai his ſonne, and Náhath his ſonne,
27.Eliáb his ſonne, Ierohám his ſonne, Elkanáh his ſonne,
28.And the ſonnes of Samuél, ye eldeſt Vaſhni, then Abiáh.
29.¶The ſonnes of Merarí were Mahlí, Libní his ſonne, Shimeí his ſonne, Vzzáh his ſonne,
30.Shimea his ſonne, Haggiáh his ſonne, Aſaiáh his ſonne.
31.And theſe be they whome Dauid ſet for to ſing in the houſe of the Lord, after that the Arke had reſt.
32.And thei miniſtred before the Tabernacle, euen the Tabernacle of the Congregation with ſinging, vntil Salomón had buylt the houſe of the Lord in Ieruſalé̄: then they continued in their office, according to their cuſtome.
33.And theſe miniſtred with their children: of the ſonnes of Koháth, Hemán a ſinger, the ſonne of Ioél, the ſonne of Shemuél,
34.The ſonne of Elkanáh, the ſonne of Ierohám, the ſonne of Eliél, the ſonne of Tóah,
35.The ſonne of Zuph, the ſonne of Elkanáh, the ſonne of Máhath, the ſonne of Amaſái,
36.The ſonne of Elkanáh, the ſonne of Ioél, the ſonne of Azariáh, the ſonne of Zephaniáh,
37.The ſonne of Tahath, the ſonne of Aſſír, the ſonne of Ebiaſáph, the ſonne of Kórah,
38.The ſonne of Izhár, the ſonne of Koháth, the ſonne of Leuí, the ſonne of Iſraél.
39.And his brother Aſáph ſtode on his right hand: eué Aſáph was the ſonne of Berechiáh, the ſonne of Shimea,
40.The ſonne of Michaél, the ſonne of Baaſeiáh, the ſonne of Malchiáh,
41.The ſonne of Ethní, the ſonne of Zérah, the ſonne of Adaiáh,
42.The ſonne of Ethán, the ſonne of Zimmáh, the ſonne of Shimeí,
43.The ſonne of Iáhath, the ſonne of Gerſhóm, the ſonne of Leuí.
44.And their brethren the ſonnes of Merarí were on the left hand, euen Ethán the ſonne of Kíſhi, the ſonne of Abdí, the ſonne of Mallúch,
45.The ſonne of Haſhabiáh, the ſonne of Amaziáh, the ſonne of Hilkiáh,
46.The ſonne of Amzí, the ſonne of Baní, the ſonne of Shámer,
47.The ſonne of Mahlí, the ſonne of Muſhi, the ſonne of Merarí, ye ſonne of Leuí.
48.¶ And their brethren the Leuites were appointed vnto all the ſeruice of the Tabernacle of the houſe of God,
49.But Aarón and his ſonnes burnt incenſe vpon the altar of burnt offring, and on the altar of incenſe, for all that was to do in the moſte holy place, and to make an atonement for Iſraél, according to all that Moſés the ſeruant of God had commanded.
50.Theſe are alſo the ſonnes of Aarón, Eleazár his ſonne, Phinehás his ſonne, Abiſhúa his ſonne,
51.Bukkí his ſonne, Vzzí his ſonne, Zerahiáh his ſonne,
52.Meraióth his ſonne, Amariáh his ſonne, Ahitúb his ſonne,
53.Zadók his ſonne, & Ahimáaz his ſonne.
54.¶ And theſe are the dwelling places of them throughout their townes & coaſtes, euen of the ſonnes of Aarón for the familie of the Kohathites, for the lot was theirs.
55.So thei gaue them Hebrón in the land of Iudáh and the ſuburbes thereof rounde about it.
56.But the field of the citie, and the villages thereof thei gaue to Caléb the ſonne of Iephunnéh.
57.And to the ſonnes of Aarón they gaue the cities of Iudáh for refuge, euen Hebrón and Libná with their ſuburbes, and Iattír, and Eſhtemóa with their ſuburbes,
58.And Hilén with her ſuburbes, & Debír with her ſuburbes,
59.And Aſhán and her ſuburbes, and Bethſheméſh and her ſuburbes:
60.¶ And of the tribe of Beniamín, Gebá and her ſuburbes, and Aleméth with her ſuburbes, & Anathóth with her ſuburbes: all their cities were thirtene cities by their families.
61.And vnto the ſonnes of Koháth the remnant of the familie of the tribe, euen of the halfe tribe of the halfe of Manaſſéh, by lot ten cities.
62.And to the ſonnes of Gerſhóm according to their families out of the tribe of Iſſachár, and out of the tribe of Aſhér, & out of the tribe of Naphtalí, and out of the tribe of Manaſſéh in Baſhán, thirtene cities.
63.Vnto the ſonnes of Merarí according to their families out of the tribe of Reubén, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulún, by lot twelue cities.
64.Thus the children of Iſraél gaue to the Leuites cities with their ſuburbes.
65.And they gaue by lot out of the tribe of ye children of Iudáh, & out of the tribe of the children of Simeón, & out of the tribe of the children of Beniamín, theſe cities, which thei called by their names.
66.And they of the families of the ſonnes of Koháth, had cities and their coaſtes out of the tribe of Ephráim.
67.And they gaue vnto them cities of refuge, Shechém in mount Ephráim, & her ſuburbes, and Gézer and her ſuburbes,
68.Iokmeám alſo and her ſuburbes, & Bethhorón with her ſuburbes,
69.And Aialón and her ſuburbes, and Gath Rimmón and her ſuburbes,
70.And out of the halfe tribe of Manaſſéh, Aner and her ſuburbes, and Bileám and her ſuburbes, for the families of the remnant of the ſonnes of Koháth.
71.Vnto the ſonnes of Gerſhóm out of the familie of the halfe tribe of Manaſſéh, Golán in Baſhán, & her ſuburbes, & Aſhtaróth with her ſuburbes,
72.And out of the tribe of Iſſachár, Kédeſh and her ſuburbes, Daberáth and her ſuburbes,
73.Ramóth alſo and her ſuburbes, and Aném with her ſuburbes,
74.And out of the tribe of Aſhér, Maſhál and her ſuburbes, and Abdón and her ſuburbes,
75.And Hukók and her ſuburbes, and Rehób and her ſuburbes,
76.And out of the tribe of Naphtalí, Kédeſh in Galilea & her ſuburbes, & Hammón and her ſuburbes, and Kiriatháim and her ſuburbes.
77.Vnto the reſt of the children of Merarí were giuen out of the tribe of Zebulún, Rimmón and her ſuburbes, Tabór and her ſuburbes,
78.And on the other ſide Iordén by Ierichó, euen on the Eaſtſide of Iordén, out of the tribe of Reubén, Bézer in the wildernes with her ſuburbes, and Iahzáh with her ſuburbes,
79.And Kedemóth with her ſuburbes, and Mepháath with her ſuburbes,
80.And out of the tribe of Gad Ramóth in Gileád with her ſuburbes, and Mahanáim with her ſuburbes,
81.And Heſhbón with her ſuburbes, & Iaazér with her ſuburbes.
