.4 And Iehoaház beſoght the Lord, and the Lord heard him: for he ſawe the trouble of Iſraél, wherewith the King of Arám troubled them.
.5 (And the Lord gaue Iſraél a c deliuerer, ſo that they came out from vnder the ſubiection of the Aramites. And the children of Iſraél d dwelt in their tentes as " before time.
.6 Neuertheles they departed not from the ſinnes of the houſe of Ieroboám which made Iſraél ſinne, but walked in them. euen the e groue alſo remained ſtil in Samaria)
.7 For he had left of the people to Iehoaház but fiftie horſemen, and ten charets,& ten thouſand fotemen, becauſe the King f of Arám had deſtroyed them, and made them like duſt beaten to poudre.
.8 Concerning the reſt of the actes of Iehoaház and all that he did, and his valiãt dedes, are they not writen in the boke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iſraél?
.9 And Iehoaház ſlept with his fathers, and they buryed him in Samaria, and Ioáſh his ſonne reigned in his ſteade.
.10 ¶ In the g ſeuẽ and thirtieth yere of Ioáſh King g of Iudáh began Iehoáſh the ſonne of Iehoaház to reigne ouer Iſraél in Samaria, and reigned ſixtene yere,

.12 Concerning the reſt of the actes of Ioáſh and all that he did, and his valiant dedes, and how he foght againſt Amaziáh King of Iudáh, are they not writen in the boke of the Chronicles of the King of Iſrael?
.13 And Ioáſh ſlept with his fathers,& Ieroboám ſate vpon his ſeat: & Ioáſh was buryed in Samaria amõg ye Kings of Iſraél.
.14 ¶ When Eliſhá fel ſicke of his ſicknes, whereof he dyed, Ioáſh the King of Iſraél came downe vnto him,and wept vpon his face,& ſaid, h O my father,my father, the charet of Iſraél,& the horſemẽ of ye ſame.
.15 Thẽ Eliſhá ſaid vnto him, Take a bowe and arowes. And he toke vnto him bowe and arowes.
.16 And he ſaid to the King of Iſraél, Put thine hand vpon the bow. And he put his hand vpon it. And Eliſhá put his hands vpon the Kings hands,
.17 And ſaid, Open the windowe i Eaſtwarde. And when he had opened it, Eliſhá ſaid,Shote. And he ſhot. And he ſaid, Beholde the arowe of the Lords deliuerance & the arowe of deliuerãce againſt Arám: for thou ſhalt ſmite ye Aramites in Aphék, til thou haſt conſumed them.
.18 Againe he ſaid, Take the arowes. And he toke them. And he ſaid vnto the King of Iſraél, Smite the ground. And he ſmote thriſe,and ceaſed.
.19 Then the man of God was k angry with him, and ſaid, Thou ſhuldeſt haue ſmiten fiue or ſix times,ſo thou ſhuldeſt haue ſmiten Arám, til thou hadeſt conſumed it, where now thou ſhalt ſmite Arám but thriſe.
.20 ¶ So Eliſhá dyed, & they buryed him. And certaine bands of the Moabites came into the land that yere.

.22 ¶ But Hazaél King of Arám vexed Iſraél all the daies of Iehoaház.
.23 Therefore the Lord had mercie on thẽ, and pitied them, and had reſpect vnto thẽ becauſe of his couenant with Abrahám, Izhák,and Iaakób,and wolde not deſtroy them, nether caſt he them from him as m yet.
.24 So Hazaél the King of Arám dyed: and Ben-hadád his ſonne reigned in his ſteade.
.25 Therefore Iehoáſh ye ſonne of Iehoaház returned, and toke out of the hãd of Ben-hadád the ſonne of Hazaél ye cities which he had taken away by warre out of the hand of Iehoaház his father:for thre times did Ioáſh beat him,and reſtored the cities vnto Iſraél.
